We are entering a season of change and transformation that will lead each of us toward our aligned path.

As we enter the month of October under the strong influence of this Super Moon in Aries, there’s a major energetic shift in the Cosmos.

With four planets changing signs, one shifting direction and two powerful eclipses, we will start to see and experience radical changes on both a collective and individual level.

For the first half of the month, our minds will be focused on Libra topics such as love, relationships, money, beauty and balance. Then we shift into the second half of the month into the deep, profound and transformative season of Scorpio.

In the weeks ahead, we may find ourselves asking some BIG questions and taking a closer look at what we VALUE that will radically change our thinking. We will be feeling the pull to be more AUTHENTICALLY aligned with our PURPOSE and PASSION, yet at the same time resisting the familiar and comfortable that we need to let go in order to step up and step forward.

The energy in the cosmos will be an invitation to support YOU and the COLLECTIVE. You’ll want to know the timing of these shifts this month so you can harness them!

The Retrogrades Are Over…well, not quite all of them! But two major planets that go direct will provide much needed momentum.

Mercury (the planet of how we communicate and how we think) moves into Libra on October 4th. Mercury has been in its home sign of Virgo since the end of July, including a retrograde period where our focus was on reorganizing, restructuring and simplifying. During its 2½ week stay in Libra, you will experience fast moving discussions, exchanging ideas and navigating through compromise, equality and balance in your relationships and partnerships. If Libra is the sign of your 10th house in your birth chart, this will be likely be connected to your career and what you are known for in the public eye.

Venus (the planet of love, relationships, value, money and creativity) moves into Virgo on October 8th and we’ll be closing out any remnants of her long stay in Leo since the early part of the summer, including a 40-day retrograde period. As we close out these topics moving into the sign of Virgo, and we may take a very intellectual approach which may be quite challenging. Venus takes on the discerning, reserved and meticulous approach in Virgo and this may be a bit of a struggle for some. Venus also plays a significant role in the upcoming eclipses noted below and Venus themes will dominate this month. If Virgo is the sign in your 5th house in your birth chart, this will play out in relationships with romantic partners, children and how you express yourself creatively.

A major shift in the collective (and in our own personal lives) begins October 10th when Pluto (the planet of transformation and power) stations direct in Capricorn (structure and discipline) after a long retrograde cycle since June. While in retrograde, we unearthed deep insights and hidden aspects within the Capricorn influence in our lives (on a collective and individual level) that’s ready for transformation as it moves into Aquarius on January 20th, 2024. What area of life is Capricorn in your birth chart?

You will see radical shifts in the Capricorn sign in your chart -- symbolizing rebirth and transformation to drive profound changes toward your aligned, authentic self.

Mars (the planet of action) moves into Scorpio on October 12th and there’s a notable energetic shift in how we assert ourselves and engage with others. Mars as the ruler of water sign Scorpio has a lot of potency so it’s energy will be more intense than coming from its weaker state in Libra. We will find ourselves more motivated and inspired to take action, in a more strategic and focused manner. With Mars in Scorpio, it’s about the long-game as we implement our goals and initiate change in the Scorpio influence area of life. If Scorpio is in your 6th house in your birth chart, this will be heavily concentrated in your daily routine, how you serve others and your health and wellness.

In the middle of the month, we welcome the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Libra on October 14th. Eclipses are not easy as everything is amplified, expanded and more intense. By nature, it is also unsettling as it is a time where major changes begin to take place in our lives that take several months to unfold. With Libra qualities and Venus as the ruler, expect the themes of relationships to be front and center – new relationships formed, shifts in current relationships and endings in others. For those of us with planets in the 20-22 degrees of Cardinal signs Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer, this will be an especially impactful period over the next 6 months up to two years in the areas of life in your personal birth chart.

Then Mercury moves into Scorpio on October 22nd and we begin to shift our focus to deeper, more thoughtful and strategic perspectives. This is a time to ask yourself more profound, introspective questions focused on the long term. If Scorpio is the sign in your 1st house in your birth chart, your mind (how you think and how you communicate) will take on an important role as you evolve and identify yourself out in the world.

Then the Sun moves into the powerful, deep and intense sign of Scorpio on October 23rd in between two major eclipses (noted below). This will be a period we call attention to any endings or transitions that are needed for the changes and transformation ahead. We may find ourselves more introspective and withdrawn, or seeking more smaller, intimate groups and connections. If Scorpio is the sign in your 12th house, expect more than usual periods of time where solitude is needed as the transformation will be in your inner psyche at a deeper, subconscious level.

The month ends with the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on October 28th with 5 of the 10 planets connected to it. It’s also the last Taurus eclipse in a series that’s been unfolding since 2021. This is an important chapter centered around the Taurus themes in your personal birth chart.

It’s time for profound shifts and what needs to be released in order to tune into your vision for the future through simplifying and releasing. What final tether do you need to let go of to step up and step into this next chapter? With Jupiter (the planet of abundance, luck and optimism) moving through Taurus until May 2024, we’re likely to be rewarded for the courage to move out of our comfort zone.

For those of us with planetary placements within 0 to 10 degrees of the Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius will experience more profound change and intensity.
