As we enter the month of November under the strong influence of this past weekend’s Full Moon in Taurus, the energies of this powerful eclipse will continue to be in play for the first half of the month as we are in the assimilation phase. No doubt, as we are almost one week into Scorpio season (the zodiac sign of transformation), you may already be experiencing different areas of your life changing!

With four planets changing signs, one shifting direction and a New Moon and Full Moon this month, we will be leaning into a very transformative period on both a collective and individual level.

And…one very noteworthy cosmic event that happens only every two years will support us to initiate BRAND NEW BEGINNINGS!

You’ll want to read to the end of this newsletter where I expand on this very rare energy and how you can align to it!

Mars (the planet of action) is still in the spotlight as it is the “ruling planet” of the sign of Scorpio. This adds to the potency in its energy of passion, bravery, courage and boldness. We may feel more confident and motivated to take action and leaps of faith – particularly in the Scorpio area of life (house) in our birth chart. If your 10th house is in the sign of Scorpio, going for that promotion, taking a new job or upleveling in your business may feel very aligned for you at this time!

Mars energy, however, can add more intensity and “fuel to the fire” so to speak. If you find yourself in overdrive or overextending yourself, be aware as Mars’ presence in the water sign of Scorpio can also cool things down pretty quickly!

The energy in the cosmos will be an invitation to support YOUR alignment to it, so let’s review all the major shifts this month so you can harness them! Let’s get started!

The first BIG shift takes place on November 4th as Saturn (the planet of responsibilities and boundaries) stations direct in Water sign Pisces after being in retrograde since June.

The shift will feel subtle at first, but then pick up forward movement in an area of life where you’ve been feeling like an airplane in a “holding pattern”. As slow-moving Saturn begins to move forward, you’ll experience a major refocus or restructuring of a project or area in your life representing in the Pisces house in your chart. If Pisces is the zodiac sign in your 2nd house of values/income, this is a good time to put more energy and effort toward restructuring the way you earn money.

The Retrogrades Are Over…well, not quite all of them! But two major planets that go direct will provide much needed momentum.

AND NOW FOR THE PLANETS ON THE MOVE

Venus (the planet of love, relationships, value, money and creativity) moves into Air sign Libra on November 8th. This will activate and amplify the qualities of Venus in your Libra area of life as Libra is her “home sign” where she gives us that extra boost. Where Venus has been discerning and analytical in Virgo the past several weeks, more collaboration, harmony, compromise and balance will be available to work with. If Libra is the zodiac sign in your 4th house of home and family, you may feel inspired to re-decorate, re-model or beautify your living space – or even move. This may also show up in your expression of harmony, peace and compromise with your family and loved ones.

Mercury (the planet of how we communicate and how we think) moves into Air sign Sagittarius on November 10th. Mercury spent a short time in Scorpio over the last few weeks where our focus was on deeper, more thoughtful and strategic perspectives. In Sagittarius, our thinking will be more expansive, optimistic and open-minded. This is a great time to set big dreams and goals in motion, explore philosophical ideas and share wisdom. If Sagittarius is the zodiac sign of your 11th house of friends, networks and communities, this is a great time to connect with like-minded people in support of those longer term, big goals!

During the first few weeks of November with the Sun in Scorpio, we continue to call attention to any endings and transitions that will allow us to open up to people, places and circumstances that provide more meaning and purpose to our lives. Then we will experience a shift starting November 22nd when the Sun moves into Fire sign Sagittarius. The Sun likes being in Fire signs, and in combination with Sagittarius energy, we will want to engage in more expansive, uplifting and meaningful work and activities. If Sagittarius is the sign of your 7th house of one-on-one relationships, the focus will be on strengthening personal and professional relationships that nourish your growth, expansion and provide meaning in your life.

Mars (the planet of action) moves into Fire sign Sagittarius on November 24th and there’s a notable dramatic, fiery energy in combination with the Sun in Sagittarius as it shifts out of Scorpio. Mars energy will help us become more adventurous, courageous and daring. We may feel the urge to push our limits to see how far we can go and how much risk we are willing to take. While Mars is in Sagittarius until January, think about how you can test your limits and go further than you have before. If Sagittarius is in your 1st house (rising sign/ascendant), this energy supports YOU and how others see you. Lean into how it gives you the courage to “level up”, “glow up”, “speak up” and feel more confident in the uniqueness of who you are and your visibility in the world.

AND NOW FOR NEWS ABOUT OUR LUNAR CYCLES

In the middle of the month, we welcome the New Moon in Scorpio on November 13th at 20 degrees. This is a very powerful and intense moon cycle given Mars is the ruling planet of Scorpio. We also have Uranus (the planet of rebellion and disruption) in the mix of this energy so there’s an “expect the unexpected” quality with this moon cycle. It can be exciting, hectic and /or shocking! You can also expect undertones of pattern breaking and breakthroughs with this New Moon “a breakdown to breakthrough kind of energy”. This is a great New Moon cycle to set intentions within the Scorpio area of your birth chart.

For those of us with planets or angles within the 20 degrees of fixed signs Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius, expect this to be an impactful and transformative cycle in those life themes in your personal astrology.

The other lunation this month is on November 27th – the Full Moon in Gemini. With Air sign Gemini, you can expect a more lively and busy energy on this day as it relates to communication, socialization and technology. You may find this time to be more social and overly interactive when it comes to communication, messaging and social activities – maybe a feeling of too much at once! Both my Mars and Venus are in the sign of Gemini, so I understand this energy all too well! Those of us with planets or angles within 4 degrees of mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces will experience more intensity.

AND A HEADS UP!

Mercury (the planet of communication) has a “challenging” relationship on this same day with Neptune (the planet of illusion) in Pisces.

It may feel like a one-day "Mercury retrograde” with this Full Moon. You may feel a bit scattered and muddled (especially Gemini and Virgo rising people) so allow yourself space to potentially deal with the feeling of overwhelm, pressure or confusion. In the U.S., this is the day after the long Thanksgiving weekend – not a great day for travel so be organized, prepared and flexible.

How can you work with this energy productively? I am personally taking the day to work off site – phone off/email and social media notifications off -- and utilize the inspiring energy of Neptune to work on creative pursuits: tap into my intuition, creativity and imagination. In my personal chart, Neptune is moving along my 5th house of creativity and self-expression and connecting with Mercury in Sagittarius my "money house" so this is a GREAT way to align to the energy!

AND the energy we’ve been waiting for all Scorpio season: Mars and the Sun “Cazimi” on November 18th!

A "Cazimi" is a very powerful, divine energy in the cosmos when a planet and the Sun come together. When Mars and the Sun join energetic forces and this year, it’s in Mars' home sign of Scorpio. This is super-charged, amplifying and strengthening for setting a new life changing goal and the beginning of a brand new 2-year cycle. For those with personal placements or angles within 25 degrees in the sign of Scorpio, it’s a MAJOR cycle about to unfold.

The Sun is about YOU – your vitality, your authenticity, your truth. Mars is about bravery, boldness, courage and decisiveness.

This is the best time to hone-in on a longer-term, two-year plan or topic in the Scorpio area of your birth chart. You may have sudden insights or truths revealed about yourself (and/or others). You may also want to set aside the time to clarify your goal or your intention that is most important to work on the next two years.

The timing is PERFECT as this is just days after the New Moon in Scorpio to set your sights on where you want to go and the pathway to get there. If your Scorpio birth chart house is:

2nd house: Focus on your finances: how you earn, save and spend money.

10th house: Set goals and intentions in your career and how you are seen in the world for what you do.

11th house: Evaluate the friendships and communities that are aligned to your goals, dreams and aspirations.
